Silent Night

Silent Night
I used the Cuttle Bug snowy scene on this blue white core adhesive paper. I love the EK Success flat punches. The snowflake punch was used. Then the card was adorned with a silver wire ribbon.

The Great Journey

The Great Journey
I stamped Mary & Joseph's journey onto white cardstock and used black embossing powder. The coloring was from Pan Pastel chalks. A Stampscape bare tree along with VersaMark watermark was used on the royal purple cardstock.

Oh, Christmas Tree!

Oh, Christmas Tree!
The Cuttle Bug embossing folder for this ornate Christmas tree was used. I sanded the high points on the green white cored paper. Textured papers were used for matting.

Dasher

Dasher
The stamp is from Stampin Up. I used white embossing powder on the reindeer. The favorite Cuttle Bug Swiss dots were used to emboss the white background paper.

Water Color Card

Water Color Card
The water color technique uses a water color crayon. I used the water color crayon to color the stamp and then lightly misted the stamp with water and then stamped onto water color paper.

The Desert Speaks

The Desert Speaks
This card was published in the September 2009 issue of Vamp Stamp News. It was created for the challenge of using a computer for creating a background. I used a photo I had taken in Carefree, Arizona. I used filters to enhance the photo. I stamped the pots and cut them out and adhered to the card using a glue dot. This gave it a nice dimension.

Indian Vase

Indian Vase
The Indian Vase is a very large concave vase. I painted with acrylic paints using a faux leather technique. I also used an indian chief decal that was fired onto the piece.

I adorned the piece using a heavy gauged copper and affixed Bisbee turquoise beads onto the heavy gauged copper using a lighter guage. I used epoxy to attach the copper piece that surrounds the decal.

Kokopelli Decanter

Kokopelli Decanter
One of my passions is working with ceramics. I pour my own molds and have my own kiln. That really allows me to get creative.

The Kokopelli Decanter is painted with a faux leather look using acrylic paints. I used a stencil and black acrylic paints for the kokopelli design. I adorned the vase using wax linen and Bisbee turquoise beads.

Howdy Partner

A 'Cathy Scape' photograph of the Arizona desert. The bird and stagecoach stamps are from Sutter Rubberstamps. The word stamp is by Prickley Pear Rubberstamps. The corner punch is by EK Success.

Horse Kisses

Horse Kisses
This card is created with one of my favorite techniques called Photo Scapes. I call them 'Cathy Scapes'. I photographed the Arizona desert. The horse and cowboy image is a stamp from Crackerbox Palace. The grass and bird stamps are from Sutter Rubberstamps. The tree stamp is by Stampscapes. The corner punch used is from EK Success.

Rootin Tootin Shootin Cowgirl

Rootin Tootin Shootin Cowgirl
This is a fun card that I had made for a special friend. The background is done with a brown acrylic paint technique. I stamped the cowgirl and colored with water colored pencils. I used Ranger Distressed Ink and a stencil brush to highlight the edges around the cowgirl. I used punches to accent the card. The stamp is by "Bombshell Stamps".

The Bare Trees

The Bare Trees
This card was stamped in black and heat embossed with black embossing powder. I used Ranger Distressed ink pads and colored the background. I did this technique over the embossing. I like how it created a shadow affect. The stamp is by "Just For Fun".
